WHAT IS PERIPHERAL NEUROPATHY?
It's a problem with your nerves in your feet and / or hands.
Neuropathy is a common complication of a number of different medical conditions such as diabetes and chemotherapy. It can also be idiopathic or unknown causes.
Their are 5 stage of Peripheral Neuropathy
1. Pain, numbness, tingling.....comes and goes
2. More constant pain
3. The height of pain
4. Numbness starts to set in. This is when the staggering and falling probably begin.
5. Complete loss of sensation.
Some causes of Peripheral Neuropathy:
- Diabetes
- Chemotherapy
- Autoimmune Diseases
- Surgical or traumatic injury
- Physical impingements
- Smoking
- Idiopathic (unknown)
